Day 4: Christmas Valley fun
I'm not sure yet where we will be camping the third night; probably won't know after we explore Fort Rock and the time of day. We might find a camping spot nearer to Christmas Valley. If we made good time getting to Fort Rock, we might even have time to explore Crack-in-the-Ground (I'm a slot canyon addict). After that, we head towards the Sand Dunes and have fun in the sand. Then on to the place that intrigues me more; the Lost Forest. There are several campgrounds there that look inviting.....from the satellite photo on Google Earth.
I doubt that we will reach Burns before the end of Day Four. Which means we will be camping somewhere between Fort Rock and Burns. Most important, is filling the gas tanks where ever we find available gas.
