Day 1: Prineville to Crater Lake

Prineville, Oregon, to Crater Lake

After thinking this through a bit more (aka studying the Big Map (TM), I modified this to include a stop at Crescent, OR, for gas and whatever might be needed for a night camping. Departure is now from Prineville, along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and included an option for a jaunt up Lookout and/or Davis Mountains. The first map routes from Prineville to Crescent. A route to campground at Crater Lake follows that. An example of the terrain and country we will be riding through can be seen at this website.
