Backroads in Oregon

On the Road.

Moving Pictures.

The earth and everything on it moves in our vision when we speed across it. But at various phases and speeds. If you look out to the side, the foreground moves quickest and blurs. As distance from your eyes increases, the less blurry things are as you pass by. Large object appear fixed in space and the sky remains almost the same.

Attempts to photograph the terrain and objects as we pass by them can be challenging. And entertaining. As we drove through north Texas a theme began to develop: Moving Pictures. Not like an old movie, but almost an abstractness to what we normally see while transfixed in time and space. Thus, I have named a series of photos accordingly.
