Day 5: Steens Mountains

This may be an all-day ride. Gassing up in Burns or/and The Narrows on Hwy205, then heading south to Frenchglen. From there we will pick up the Steens Mnts. Loop Road, a 61-mile ride of awesome majesty in rock. I'd like to visit the Riddle Bros. Ranch if we have time. Not sure how that will play out. Camping that night depends on how the day goes. The ride from Burns, around the Loop and back to Frenchglen is 137 miles. Half of that will be on pavement, but, still, it's a long way. I hope Frenchglen has gas. If we have to spend the night in this area, several campgrounds are there, including a large one near the highway. As usual, daylight and our endurance will determine where we spend the night.
